Aiming to boost exchanges and gain a better understanding of potential collaborations, the TMU delegation met with its hosts from the University of the Philippines to explore collaborative activities in the fields of neuro-rehabilitation, pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics analysis of traditional Chinese medicine, bio-materials, nano-medicine, nano-particle, oral route drug delivery and cancer drug delivery between the two institutions. TMU delegates visited the campuses of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) and the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM). Received by the executive Vice President Teodora Herbosa and Director Gil Jacinto from the Office of International Linkage (OIL) of the University of the Philippines, representatives from both institutions carried out discussions on potential joint-application of research grant in future. The TMU delegates also had an opportunity to visit the Marine Science Institution (MSI).

To better facilitate the bilateral collaboration on research and student exchanges, TMU and UP will be signing a MoU to formalize the partnership and engage in the continued dialogue for mutually beneficial collaboration.
